Overview

The BIG BORE SIX DAY is back for 2026 — bigger, better, and bolder. Starting and finishing in Canberra, we’ll loop through the Victorian High Country, NSW backroads, forestry trails, and alpine ridgelines before rolling back into the capital.

This is a ride, not a race. Designed for adventure and dual sport riders of all skill levels, it’s a flowing, scenic, and sometimes challenging six-day journey with everything from sweeping dirt roads to rugged mountain trails. By the end of the week, you’ll have conquered some of the best ADV terrain Australia has to offer — and gained a new family of riding mates along the way.

Ride Details

“BIG BORE” means this ride is ideally suited to adventure bikes, but smaller-capacity ADV and dual sport machines are also welcome. The route covers more than 2,400 kilometres of mixed terrain, from forestry trails and gravel backroads to twisty sealed sections and high-country ridges. It’s a ride designed to be flowing, achievable, and enjoyable, with full GPS route files, daily rider briefings, sweep riders, support vehicles, and mechanical/tyre backup all included.

Accommodation & Meals

Your entry includes 7 nights in quality 4-5 star twin-share accommodation, with limited single supplements available at extra cost.

• Breakfasts: included at most venues (TBA).
• Dinners: Welcome dinner on Night 1 + final dinner and prize draw on Night 7 are both included. We are also putting on an epic carpark pizza party in Bright!
• Other nights: evening meals at your own expense, with plenty of options to share with your new mates.

At the end of each day, there’ll be time to debrief, swap stories, and prep for the next day. Expect classic ADV vibes: carpark chats, gear tinkering, and the camaraderie of like-minded riders.

Guests & Crew

You won’t be riding alone. Alongside the Adventure Moto and Vagabond Moto crew will be special guests (to be announced soon). Past editions has seen world-class riders, filmmakers, and ADV personalities come along for the journey — and 2026 will be no exception.

The ride is fully supported with:

• Experienced and first aid trained sweep and mid-pack riders
• Mechanics and tyre support (Tyres can be pre-purchased and carried for you then changed when you need)
• Back-up vehicles for luggage and recovery
• Event photographers & videographers

International Guests

We welcome riders from across the ditch and beyond. If you’re flying in from overseas, you’ll need a bike — but limited rental bikes may be available through Vagabond Moto on a first-come, first-served basis.
