Welcome to Seat Concepts, Revolutionising Motorcycle Comfort

Seat Concepts are the leading manufacturers of aftermarket motorcycle seats, designed and made in the U.S.A. by real riders, racers and motorcycle enthusiasts. When it comes to motorcycle seats, Seat Concepts are the experts, offering the best Complete Seats and Seat Foam and Cover Kits for motorcycles.

While you can’t turn your two wheels into an armchair, you can get yourself the best value seat solution out there!

So Why Upgrade to a Seat Concepts Seat?

Two words: Plush support! Stock motorcycle seats are motoriously uncomfortable (see what we did there?), especially in the dual-sport and ADV world where hard seats with low-quality foam seem to be the industry standard. And if you think your current motorcycle seat is “okay”, you haven’t yet seen the light! Order a Seat Concepts seat, and you’ll be in for a plush, active ride that offers excellent support.

With Seat Concepts dual-sport and adventure seats, you get a wider seat with much higher quality foam, better density and nicer fabric. This means your weight gets distributed more evenly over a larger surface area, reducing pressure points, pain, and squirming around in the saddle. This is especially important if you’re planning on riding longer days, as many motorcycle seats become uncomfortable after even the first half an hour—let alone a full day.

The higher quality seat design still follows similar contour lines to the stock seats, meaning that although the midpoint of the seat is wider to distribute your weight and body mass more evenly, the front of the seat is still narrow so that your legs aren’t spread further apart.

Motorcycle Seat Foam Density for the Most Comfortable Seats

Seat Concepts use a proprietary substance that starts out as a liquid, and ends up as a super supportive foam of varying densities. Adventure Moto carries motorcycle seats using Seat Concepts’ standard foam, which has a density that works well for people weighing between about 73 to 109 kilos.

The Right Seat Height for You

Seat Concepts make Standard, Tall and Low seat heights for a variety of motorbikes.

Standard seats will keep the seat height of your bike the same as the stock seat, while using better quality foam and foam density for maximum support and comfort. If you’re not too short nor too tall for your bike, go with a Standard seat height.

Tall seats are made for, well, tall people! These offer a better seated position for those riders feeling like their inseam is a bit too long for their bike. Tall seats aren’t necessarily more or less comfortable than Standard height seats, so we don’t suggest you order a Tall seat thinking you’ll get more cushioning out of it just because it’s made with more foam. The engineering that goes into Seat Concepts seats and foam make that a moot point, so only order a Tall seat if you’re tall.

Low seats are made for those who need some help reaching the ground, which can give a shorter rider all-new riding confidence. Because there will be less foam to work with in a Low seat, sometimes it’s necessary to increase foam density so the rider doesn’t bottom out on the pan in rough terrain, which could lead to a slightly less comfortable seat. It’s something to consider, though the height-challenged riders we know who have used these seats still find them to be far superior in comfort and support than stock seats.

Choose Your Fabric

Seat Concepts fabrics are chosen based on durability, comfort and looks, and often try to match the stock colour scheme. Each fabric has its uses, so choose your fabric based on the style of riding you’ll mostly be doing. All the fabrics are designed to be rugged and water resistant, except for the suede.

Seat Concepts Carbon Fibre Gripper Fabric

The Carbon Fibre/Gripper fabric is the most popular choice, and usually recommended for medium and heavy dual sport or off-road use as it doesn’t let you slide around as easily during hard braking or quick acceleration. Commuting daily or heading out on a road-trip? This is the one for you.

Seat Concepts Carbon Fibre Motorcycle Seat Cover

The All Carbon Fibre fabric is a black vinyl with a slicker surface and cool carbon fibre patterning. It’s a good choice for street bikes, those riding in jeans, and easier off-road use.

Seat Concepts Embossed Vinyl Bike Seat Cover

The Embossed fabric is a smooth black vinyl with a square pattern stamped in. Just be more careful with this one, as this cover will scuff if you drag sharp items across it.

Seat Concepts Super Grip Motorcycle Seat Cover

The SuperGrip is the best choice for those riding in aggressive competitions or in the most extreme conditions. This fabric includes rubber panels at the knee area that resist wear and tear from knee braces while offering excellent grip in all conditions, and has foam-backed traction ribs to keep you from sliding around.

The Standard Vinyl (All Black Vinyl) offers a nice, simple leather grain vinyl similar to many stock seats.

Suede Motorcycle Seat Covers By Seat Concepts

The Suede fabrics are made of real leather suede with great breathability and durability, and best suited to hot, dry climates. Because of its absorbent nature, it’s not recommended for rainy or humid places. It looks fantastic, but is best reserved for those who don’t mind the extra maintenance required to keep suede looking great.

Choose from Two Motorcycle Seat Options: Complete Seat or Foam & Cover Kit

The Complete Seats are exactly that: A fully assembled Seat Concepts seat on a new pan with foam and cover ready to be slapped onto your bike in minutes.

The Foam & Cover Kit is a cheaper option you’ll install yourself on your old OEM seat pan, which can be done from the comforts of your own home and with minimal tools, but does require a bit of extra time.

Seat Concepts Foam & Cover Kit Installation

Seat Concepts design their Foam & Cover Kits to be assembled by you at home, so they’re pretty easy to install. Just make sure you have access to a good staple gun with ¼” staples, needle-nose pliers to yank out the old staples, and adhesive spray. It should only take about half an hour and a beer or two! There are also various YouTube videos to help you out if the instructions your kit comes with leave you looking for more guidance.

If you’re hesitant about installing the kit yourself, call your local upholstery shop to see if they can do it for you. Make sure to ask if they’ve done this for motorcycles before. If they say yes, you’re probably good to go. If they mention any alterations to the kit, they’re not the ones for the task!

Can You Use Seat Concepts Seats with an Aftermarket Fuel Tank?

No prob! Seat Concepts are designed to mount the same way as your stock seat, so if your aftermarket fuel tank works with your current seat, it’ll work with a Seat Concepts seat, too.
