Dear Adventure Moto Family, customers, and friends,

Hello from the Adventure Moto and Tyres For Bikes teams, both in QLD and NSW, who have all managed to survive 2020 and 2021 keeping busy and happy to still be trading as we ride the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, this seems to be the only riding we do these days, as we experience the long COVID Lockdown in and around Sydney and NSW. We have appreciated the continued overwhelming support from our customers during this time, and are happy to see some customers getting back out on their bikes and riding again, at least up in QLD and the bubble that is Western Australia, as well as other states and areas when we free up.

We are still facing challenges as we continue to trade both online and "Click and Collect" in Sydney. Please remember that we are open for business as usual in QLD at the time of updating this Blog. We ask for your ongoing patience if you have arrived at the Sydney store and one of the team asks you to wait outside, as we are only allowing collection of goods purchased online if you are even able to travel to the store. Please note also, that the Tyres For Bikes workshop is deemed an essential business so we are open for service and tyre fitting in Sydney as well as Eagle Farm in Brisbane.

ADVENTURE MOTO as a business is doing its best to continue to operate and trade normally, however, we are guided by our State and Federal Governments as they mandate how we should be getting back to normal... The "New Normal" that is ;-) 

SHIPPING WITHIN AUSTRALIA: Australia Post is under pressure. Some of our customers have still been experiencing long delays in getting deliveries. We usually forward each customer a tracking number when we do ship your parcel. Please understand that once it leaves our warehouse, we are in the hands of Australia Post. They have indicated that there are delays and that currently Express Post is not always going to get to you the next day. We usually ask you to be patient and for the most part, your products will get to you.

SHIPPING PRODUCTS INTO AUSTRALIA: We also understand the frustration people are experiencing while waiting for new products to arrive in from overseas. We have all been waiting for new 2021 stock from the United States and manufacturers and suppliers based in Europe. Please understand that overseas, they are also experiencing, not only a huge increase in demand but supply chain issues, getting raw materials to make products with. Some suppliers have told us that in order to meet local demand first, they are holding international orders until they have free production capacity. They may also be experiencing production line issues and staffing shortfalls.

In the US, each internal State Governor determines how that state will operate, and some States have closed all businesses for a period. Many employees are working from home, which will also impact how quickly shipments get shipped. IN PARTICULAR, shipping large or bulky orders are taking much longer, and becoming more expensive to ship. The cost of shipping between countries has also increased tenfold in some instances and there are long delays at the ports. Please understand that MOST suppliers and resellers of any motorcycle products will experience stock management and supply issues as we continue our COVID Journey.  We apologize in advance if this affects you directly. 

PRICING: Some customers are surprised by the increases we may be seeing on some products, like KLIM, Outback Motortek, Seat Concepts, and other core brands. Please note that virtually ALL products imported into Australia are paid for using United States Dollars, regardless of where products originate. With the Australian dollar having lost some value these past few months, shipping costs have risen by as much as 200-300% due to the corresponding cutback on commercial carriers. Pricing on all imported products is reflecting these changes. We will continue to gauge this and adjust pricing when and where we can.

  • The Eagle Farm (QLD) is currently OPEN to in-store customers Monday through to Saturday
  • Dural is closed for foot traffic, however, we are shipping products daily and our team is on hand to take phone calls and offer their experience and advice.
  • Our online store is completely operational and our warehouse crew is committed to practicing all required standards of social distancing, staying healthy, and getting out your orders as fast as possible.
  • IN-STORE trading when permitted is operating under our COVID SAFE plan and you will be expected to "Check-In" using our QR code. Naturally, everyone is subject to the usual social distancing practices and requirements. We do take cash or card. We may also ask you to sanitize at the front door. Staff may not be able to meet all your needs when it comes to trying on gear, especially helmets.
  • We will continue to offer great advice, knowledge, and support over the phone. We do our best to answer ALL emails ;-) however, we are short-staffed, so again, thanks for your patience.
  • You can order online, over the phone, and still opt to collect from our Eagle Farm and Dural showrooms if you want contactless ordering.
Finally, we are always working with our many suppliers to manage the process and changes as they unfold. Given that Australia is not the only country that has closed their borders, restricted movement, and have been dealing with this crisis, while I wish we could get out more, I still truly appreciate that we live here in the Lucky Country that we call home. 

As I have always said... Ride where you can, while you can... But also be safe and enjoy the fresh air while the skies are clear.
