Best Rest CyclePump Expedition with 90 Degree Chuck
The EXPEDITION has several improvements over the "old" Adventure model:
- Rubber armored end caps protect the case
- Improved air filtering prevents ingestion crud
- Generation 3 90-degree air chuck (please note only one chuck included despite image)
- Internal refinements, improved performance
The CyclePump has a LIFETIME Warranty!!!
The CyclePump uses a powerful 12 volt electric motor and a high quality metal compressor assembly that's specially hardened for motorcycle applications. US Patent 29/557,770.
To run the CyclePump connect it to any 12 volt power source (like your bike's electrical accessory socket or the terminals of a battery). Attach the air hose to the tire, flip the switch, and begin filling your tire. We provide 4 powering methods for the CyclePump:
- BMW plug that converts to a
- Cigarette lighter plug
- 2-prong SAE connector
- Small alligator clips that attach to any 12V battery.
The CyclePump is proudly made in the USA. BestRest doen't use fragile plastic components that can easily break when you drop it on the ground. BestRest has armored the switch and other components so the unit is virtually indestructible. It's ready for an around-the-world expedition.
Tire inflation time varies by tire size, air density, voltage, laden or unladen tire load, and other factors, but as a practical rule the CyclePump will fill a front tire in 2-3 minutes and a rear tire in 3-5 minutes. Topping off a few extra pounds takes less than a minute.
This rugged aluminum case does three things
- it protects the internals against damage,
- it protects your hands from the working parts and pieces
- it acts as a heat sink to dissipate heat.
The case is strong enough to drop on rocks, stand on, drive over, or otherwise stand up to reasonable amounts of roadside abuse, and the CyclePump still keeps working. Not so with a cheap blue plastic inflator or a homemade Tupperware sandwich box model. Drop them on a hard surface and chances are you'll be walking home.
The aluminum case is less than 2" high x 4" wide x 6" long.
With all the wires and power connectors and hose the storage pouch dimensions are 2x6x9".
Weight is 36 ounces.
Shawn Thomas of RawHyde Adventures used his CyclePump while leading a tour through the Andes Mountains in Argentina. They were shadowing the riders of the Dakar Rally. At 16,500 feet the group's chase truck got a flat tire and the spare wasn't available. Shawn made repairs using our Universal Tire Repair Kit, then he used his personal CyclePump to fill the truck tire. The group was back on the road in minutes. (Try doing that with a cheap imported inflator - heck, try breathing at 16,500 ft!!!) A comment about the BMW CANbus system... BMW limits amperage on their accessory ports. The CyclePump needs 10 amps, BMW only gives you 5. You'll need to bypass their CANbus system and get power directly from the battery. BestRest'll tell you how in the CyclePump owner's manual.
Bestrest pumpBy: Sean on 12 February 2018Have had mini comoressors in past that are much cheaper. Sure they work, and are cheap to replace if knackered, but you only get what you pay for. This mini comp works very well. Seats 150/70-18 mitas, with a little lube, pretty well. Very well built. Decent length power cord. The fact it also has a lifetime warranty shows they back their product. Not many companies offer this.
