Goretex jacket!By: Phil Close on 14 June 2020At the age of 60, I thought that I'd shout myself a new jacket. For many years now, I've wanted a jacket with Goretex technology. Why? Because stopping to put a waterproof liner under my riding jacket, or a waterproof jacket over my riding jacket, was a pain in the butt. So after a fair bit of internet research & with a few deep breaths I forked out the necessary $$$$ for the Klim Latitude jacket (note that I've never paid over $500 for a jacket before). The service provided by AdventureMoto was superb. The jacket? Well, for the $$$$ I am a little disappointed. First the good stuff: I ordered size XL (same as my other jackets) & it fits very well (except for...….. & I'll get to this in the not-so-good section), it is comfortable to wear whilst riding, it has plenty of pockets (both internal & external), it looks & feels to be well made. Okay, the not-so-good: the length of the sleeves is LONG, longer than my other jackets by a fair margin. Even when riding my KTM1290 with my arms out-stretched to the high & wide 'bars, the cuff of the sleeves is covering at least a 1/4 of my hand (& I don't think that my arms are short as the sleeves of my other jackets fit fine). These long sleeves are not really an issue but it does mean that the forearm vents don't work. This brings me to the next issue, the vents. As mentioned, due to the long sleeves & subsequent bunching of material in the forearm section of the sleeves while riding, the forearm vent does not open very well & air doesn't get in. Same can be said for the vents up near the shoulder/armpit area. With the vent zip open & my arms are near horizontal & pointing forward to reach the 'bars, air does not get into the vent. Just recently, I rode in temperatures of 27degC, not hot but I was starting to get a little warm while wearing the Klim jacket & would have appreciated some air to penetrate & cool. I often ride in temperatures exceeding 30degC. I think the jacket will primarily be a winter jacket. The last feature that I'm not real pleased with is the velcro neck closure. I'd have liked the length of the velcro to be more generous in order to allow more adjustability. I have not yet been caught out in the rain while wearing this jacket but I do fully expect that it will be waterproof. Would I purchase another? Not before I spend more time & effort on research into what else might be available. If the jacket proves to be 100% waterproof, I'll rate it as 4 stars, but at the moment I'm only prepared to rate it as 3 stars.
DUE FOR THERAPYBy: Andrew Gadsby on 7 April 2020Purchased the jacket in Sydney, Staff was Fantastic, however I'm only restricted to modelling it for the wife DUE TO CORONA VIRUS. Why do i give it five stars? because when i take it off i like to sit back an stare at it. THANKS COVID 19 your the shit
Lattitude Jacket & PantsBy: Brett McLachlan on 8 February 2020The best bit of riding clothing I’ve ever owned. This stuff is awesome, it fits well, breathes well, feels great and looks great. My wife and I both love our new kit and getting out and about almost twinning in Klim’s finest
High Quality GearBy: Steven Cohen on 13 January 2020I must admit I've never paid over $500 for a jacket and it took a lot to get me over the line on this one,but I have this saying poor man pays twice and in this case its certainly true. This is high quality gear and I am over the moon with this purchase, will be buying the pants to match soon.
Best jacket I've ownedBy: Warrick Bidwell on 1 July 2019Love this jacket. I've had various other brands with so-called waterproof liners and none of them are a patch on the Klim. Whether it's 30 deg or freezing and wet, this thing keeps the water and the wind out. Chuck a jumper on underneath and you're set for a single digit temp ride. Fits good. Looks good and quality. Well worth the money.
