When only the best will do!By: Richard Clements on 7 June 2018For 20 years I’m use to versatile single layer Goretex snow boarding jacket shells for protection to layer up under depending on the temp. So when I recently bought my BMW R 1200 GS I was looking for something similar that is just as versatile in all conditions. When I saw the Klim range I knew that was it. As I do, I researched the daylight out of it and decided for my expected 80% on road 20% off road use that the Latitude Jacket was the one for me. Well what a cracker of a jacket, it’s amazing. I’m 6 foot 6 & 105kgs, the large fitted snug so I went the XL to give room for layers depending on the temp and it’s perfect. Just enough room for thermals and a decent mid-layer as Melbourne gets very frosty in Winter, though not too big with just a t-shirt under.
Latitude Jacket and PantsBy: Bruce on 12 May 2018Great gear went for an ride over dirt and the black stuff and even though it was a tad cold the gear kept me warm enough to continue for a good 12 hours and when it did warm up the vents did the job so would recommend this gear to all my friends.
For a Change11 May 2018Having been a long time user and abuser of BMW riding gear I was somewhat reluctant to move away from what I knew worked well for me. I had been looking at the KLIM gear for some time and when Adventure Moto opened in Brisbane I was down there like a shot to try on the gear. Looking for something lighter, yet still offering good protection I settled on the Latitude Jacket and pants. Now having worn the gear riding I just wish I had made the move earlier. Whilst the jacket has a light feel, I have no apprehension that it wouldn't do its job if I did come off. Plenty of ventilation for our Queensland summer but surprisingly warm when all the zips are done up. As I recently found when the temps started to trend down coming into winter. All in all damn good gear.
